Background on the drawings

Located in the west of Reunion Island, on one of the largest urban areas of the island, the Eperon is in an urban environment. The mountains and the sea are still visible. Bands of dogs roam the streets, and are regularly run over by cars.

In La Nouvelle, no roads, no cars. The houses are scattered throughout the village and surrounded by Creole gardens, with edible plants, fruit trees, flowers. As soon as you look up, you can see the cliffs and the tops of the circus. The helicopter is very present, making several rotations in the same day, to bring food and material, or to collect the bags of rubbish. It is an integral part of these children's environment.
