Background on the drawings

In this international school, only half of the students are Omani, and generally come from well-to-do families. The students have already travelled extensively and are familiar with environments in many countries. Although they are very comfortable speaking, the students are less comfortable with writing or drawing. The particularity of Muscat is that it is an urban environment, but in a very sparsely populated country, and with wilderness nearby. The sea, the mountains, the dunes are visible from the city which has grown in a very short time, and most people have a house or close family in the countryside. People have also kept a strong taste for picnics, camping, or evenings under the stars.
